Trying to provide an update on what I have been working on.  I will start here with the last game convention I attended - May 2019 at Drums 2019 at Fort Miegs, Ohio.

This convention takes place in the Ft Miegs Exhibit hall every May around the weekend near the 17th. It is a small but well run convention with an outstanding presentation of participation games for its size, put on for all ages.  It also takes place at Fort Miegs, an 1812 U.S. Army Fort which in itself is an interesting tour.

This is a picture of the large games room.  There are other games in other rooms - including both entry ways.  There is also one room for exhibitors and surrounding this room are tables for attendees to sell or swap their unneeded books, games, terrain, and models.

The large games room.

This is a small WW2 Russian Front game I played in.  There were only two of us and my opponent was the judge's son, relatively new to the period.  First time I played the rules.

Basically, my Mark IV(kurz) used smoke to seal off the Soviet KV and then fired HE at the houses while the Mark III(kurz) engaged the first building in the row of buildings with HE and my infantry under cover of the smoke and buildings stormed the first building, taking it.  By then my Mark IV's had destroyed the KV (no, I have no idea how. ) and the Soviets were retreating due to the Mark IV fire on the buildings they were occupying.  With the Soviets largely suppressed the German infantry overran the Soviet positions.
